Golf in Cyprus Hotels

Cyprus is establishing itself as an attractive destination for golf holidays, especially among European golfers who are forced to take a break from the game during the winter months. But Cyprus’ climate during spring and autumn/winter season is in fact ideal with pleasant temperatures, low rainfall and almost daily sunshine, which stretch the golfing season to over 10 months.

In addition to weather considerations, golfers coming to Cyprus appreciate the fundamental differences between courses in northern Europe and the Mediterranean features of the Cyprus terrain, which has been largely preserved to create charming courses dotted with olive trees and other endemic trees and bushes. Moreover, the diversity of the courses themselves offers players the opportunity to enjoy a whole range of new challenges at various levels. Currently all golf courses are concentrated in the Paphos district.

Situated on an award-winning sandy beach in Paphos, our hotels (Amavi, Alexander The Great Beach Hotel and Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos) are less than half an hour’s drive from the four golf clubs of the island. We offer attractive packages for the most enjoyable golf holiday experience in Cyprus. Needless to say that we can prepare tailor-made golf packages to suit every guest’s needs and can assist with a wide range of additional services, such as club rentals, for travel stress free stays.

Our hotels are industry partner members of The Global Golf Tourism Organisation (IAGTO).

Aphrodite Hills Golf Course, PGA National Cyprus, and GEO Certified is unique, exotic and challenging. The Club has attained the highest standard of recognition in golf – the PGA National, Cyprus as well as the IAGTO Sustainability Award and the IAGTO Golf Experience Award 2020. This top recognition places the award-winning Aphrodite Hills Golf in the highest position for Mediterranean golf courses.

The 18-hole championship golf course occupies two plateaus overlooking the Mediterranean, and is designed to harmonise with the natural environment.

The American-style course measures 6,289 metres and plays to a par 71. Here you will find a game that will challenge players of every level - and enchanting sunsets to end the day. The club also provides an academy with resident instructors, a practice range, pro shop, and a clubhouse with bar and restaurant.
